(a) Basic earnings per share
The calculation of basic earnings per share is based on the profit
attributable to ordinary equity shareholders of the Company of
HK$81,404,000 (2014: HK$74,183,000) and the weighted average
number of 793,731,000 ordinary shares (2014: 789,335,000
ordinary shares) in issue during the year, calculated as follows:
