(b) Diluted earnings per share
The calculation of diluted earnings per share is based on the
profit attributable to equity shareholders of the Company of
HK$36,683,000 (2015: HK$37,023,000) and the weighted
average number of 794,435,000 ordinary shares (2015:
793,968,000 ordinary shares), after adjusting for the effect of the
potential dilution from ordinary shares issuable under the Company’s
share option schemes, calculated as follows:
