13 Earnings per share
(a) Basic earnings per share
The calculation of basic earnings per share is based on the profit
attributable to ordinary equity shareholders of the Company of
HK$79,252,000 (2015: HK$81,404,000) and the weighted average
number of 794,354,000 ordinary shares (2015: 793,731,000
ordinary shares) in issue during the year, calculated as follows:
