(b) Diluted earnings per share
The calculation of diluted earnings per share is based on the
profit attributable to equity shareholders of the Company of
HK$33,326,000 (2016: HK$36,683,000) and the weighted
average number of 794,704,000 ordinary shares (2016:
794,435,000 ordinary shares), after adjusting for the effect of the
potential dilution from ordinary shares issuable under the Company’s
share option schemes, calculated as follows:
